We camped at Indian Cove Campground where each campsite is surrounded by huge boulders. There was a wind storm advisory that weekend. When we tried to set up our tent, the wind was so ferocious, it kept tearing it right up. So we went down to a convenience store and bought some heavy duty stakes that did the job well.
The sun lit up the clouds with jet hot pink behind the black mountains of rock. We built a fire and heated up some spicy chili I had made the day before. That night, the tent shook like a thin blade of grass as the wind beat against our nylon walls.
